Recycling is collected from all households in the New Forest every week in clear sacks.
What can I put in the clear sack?
Fill your clear sack with household recycling, tie it and place it at the edge of your property for collection each week. Sacks should be put out for collection no earlier than 6pm on the evening before collection and no later than 6am on the day of collection.

Missed collection
Recycling should be put out by 6am on your collection day. If it did not contain anything unsuitable, such as heavy or hazardous waste, please contact customer services on 023 8028 5000.
If you report a missed collection before 11am, we aim to collect it the same day.
If you report a missed collection after 11am, we aim to collect it the next working day.
Bank holidays
Collections stay the same over the Easter and summer bank holidays. Please put your sacks out on your normal day.
Some changes are made to collection days at Christmas. They will be published here in November and are printed on your black sacks.
Additional black and clear sacks
The council delivers 26 black rubbish sacks and 36 clear recycling sacks to each property every six months.
You can purchase extra sacks at your local information office.
New residents can request a delivery from customer services.
Assisted collections
Residents who are unable to put their bags at the edge of their property due to a disability, illness or injury can request an assisted collection.
A form will be posted to you, which you must fill out and return. Assisted collections are only available when there is no one in the household who is able to help.
